New pics of Cap in uniform [Captain America]

Marvel Studios has been on a media public relations frenzy lately. Most recently are some images of Chris Evans as Captain America.

I’ll be the first to admit that I wasn’t excited to see the costume design for Marvel’s big-screen adaptation of the legendary hero. The uniform looks a little to “realistic” for my tastes. I still prefer my superheroes in spandex, not body armor. But, I’ll take what I can get.

Captain America: The First Avenger comes to theaters July 22, 2011.

In addition, Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including Thor on May 6, 2011; Marvel Studios’ The Avengers on May 4, 2012; and Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013.
