As part of my graduate course in Film & Literature, I had to read a book and watch a film (based on said book) every couple of weeks. Because I received pretty good grades, I feel safe in sharing these with you. Even if you have not read the books, you may find some of this insightful.
For students looking for an easy grade, I want to point out that these works are copyrighted. Don't try to hand these in with your name on them. Anything you can find on the Web, I assure you your instructor can too.
